The first priority of CAIP Canada will be to adopt holders of the CMRP offered by the former MRIA. “In consultation with practitioners and employers, CMRPs stressed the need for a credible industry association to support their designation,” says Robert Wong. “With the endorsement of the Canadian Research Insights Council and ESOMAR, the CAIP will be the designation of choice for insights and analytics professionals in Canada.” The ESOMAR ‘stamp of approval’ will give a significant advantage to CAIP practitioners, as it will mean international recognition of their professional designation, and will open doors for them beyond Canada and onto the world scene.
Other priorities will include adopting fellows of the former MRIA and developing the pathways for practitioners seeking to earn the CAIP designation. CAIP Canada will be working with established training pathways including the Principles of Market Research courses offered by the Marketin Research Institute International (MRII).
CAIP Canada will be publishing additional details about its new program in the coming weeks. Subscribe to updates through the CRIC website to be notified by e-mail when these details are available.
