The Canadian Research Insights Council (CRIC) is pleased to announce the launch of the CRIC Pledge to Canadians. The CRIC Pledge highlights the commitment of CRIC members to the highest ethical standards and helps Canadians distinguish requests to participate in legitimate research from other requests they receive.

“Research gives a voice to Canadians,” said Gary Bennewies, Chair of CRIC. “By participating in research, Canadians can help to influence the things that are most important to them.”

As a self-regulatory industry and professional association, CRIC has put in place some of the toughest professional standards for insights research in the world. The CRIC Pledge is intended to let Canadians know that and to reassure them that that they can confidently participate in research requests when they come from a CRIC member.

“Security and the privacy of personal information are a top priority for Canadians – and rightfully so,” added Nik Nanos, Vice Chair of CRIC and Chair of the CRIC Standards Committee. “The CRIC Pledge aims to build the trust and respect needed to encourage Canadians to continue to share their opinions.”

CRIC member companies are encouraged to demonstrate their support for the CRIC Pledge by mentioning it when they invite individuals to participate in research. They are also encouraged to include a copy on their website and have it available in locations where they conduct research.
